Targeted Magazine ad and Instagram Story for Seagram’s Escapes
For this project, I was asked to choose both a brand of alcohol and a magazine, and my goal was to create an ad that would make the brand of alcohol appealing to the demographic of the magazine. I chose to create an ad for Seagram’s Escapes that would appear in PC PowerPlay Magazine: Australia’s only dedicated PC games magazine. In addition, I needed to create an Instagram Story.
To achieve my goal, I researched the target audience of the magazine and found that a majority of readers were young male adults and Internet users interested in the latest gaming news. Using gaming-related terms and phrases such as “upgrade your gaming” and “level up” paired with Seagram’s, as well as visual elements that exuded arcade video game vibes, I portrayed Seagram’s Escapes as a power-up and way to make gaming that much more enjoyable than it already is.
